What you will be doing:
The Procurement Specialist - Subcontracts, ensures that all subcontracts associated with the projects are defined, awarded, planned and efficiently executed in a systematic and organized manner complying with company subcontract procedures and within the budgets allocated and within the constraints of the projects
Job Responsibilities:
- Delivery of improvement in overall value (quality, cost, delivery, performance) from subcontracts.
- Collaborate with all stakeholders involved to develop the sub-contractor partner commercial and skillsets required to support and drive the strategy.
- Responsible for Sub-Contractor Development, Cost Control, due diligence & Compliance.
- Evaluate assigned contracts to identify, document, and manage key prime contract and subcontract risks in relation to scope, schedule, and terms through the life of the project.
- Provide tracking of subcontract activity, progress information and guidance to Project Managers.
- Coordinate closely with Design, Techno Commercial and Engineering & Operations for continuity and overall program effectiveness.
- Ensure that subcontract internal estimates are completed using internal standard norms for benchmarking purposes prior to award of the subcontracts.
- Develop/Maintain approved subcontractors list for the project and help updating company’s subcontractor database.
- Verify the invoices submitted by Subcontractors in accordance with the Methods of Measurement defined in the Subcontract.
- Evaluate assigned contracts to identify, document, and manage key prime contract and subcontract risks in relation to scope, schedule, and terms through the life of the project.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering.
- 10 years of experience in subcontracting and contract management with Developers, Contractors or Construction.
- US Projects Experience is preferred.
- Thorough understanding of assigned categories and related market.
- Strong Negotiation skills.
- Sound knowledge of drafting contracts, managing change orders and claim management.
Additional:
- Flexibility to work during US working hours as and when required for coordination and meetings to accomplish project delivery schedules.
