Position Summary:

Leading and driving procurement initiatives of compressor accessories, pump component raw/finish. Ownership of complete cost, quality, deliver of sourcing equipment/material, also building procurement strategy, identifying new suppliers, contract negotiations, cost savings, building relationship with suppliers within India. Collaborate with Sundyne and Specialty BU global facilities to establish India as one of the LCC.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Owning whole ownership of sourcing equipment, material of API compressor & pumps, Promoting & supporting India sourcing for potential cost savings initiatives & quality supply
  • Exploring & evaluating potential supplier base 
  • Supporting domestic projects & India operations for localization of commodities to be competitive in India market & achieve overall cost savings
  • Responsible for contract management for India suppliers with best terms & price
  • Exploring & evaluating local packaging facility & locally packaged competitive product
  • Establishing total business relationships & strategic agreements with key suppliers

Technical/Functional Skills:

  • Ability to develop, manage, and negotiate strategic relationships with key suppliers.
  • Experience in conducting thorough assessments and evaluations of potential suppliers based on quality, price, delivery performance, and sustainability.
  • High-level negotiating skills to secure favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, including price, delivery, and payment terms.
  • Ability to use analytics platforms (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) to track procurement performance and savings opportunities.
  • Proficient in managing procurement budgets, forecasting spending, and ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Ability to incorporate sustainable procurement practices, focusing on environmental impact, ethical sourcing, and corporate social responsibility.
  • Expertise in managing procurement-related projects, including setting timelines, managing resources, and ensuring the successful delivery of procurement initiatives.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing procurement team.
  • Expertise in global procurement strategies, including navigating complexities of international trade, tariffs, and cross-border logistics.
Qualifications

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Master’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related field will be added advantage.
  • 20+ years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in managing supplier relationships and procurement operations at a senior level.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement strategies, supply chain management, and contract negotiation.
  • Ability to resolve complex procurement issues, supply disruptions, or logistical challenges.
