About the Position
We are looking for a Procurement Operations Specialist to join our team in the Hong Kong office and serve as our procurement operations subject matter expert for the APAC region. In addition, this role will be a key liaison between our global Procurement team and the Accounts Payable and Accounting teams. Additional responsibilities of this role will include:
- Serving as our Hong Kong procurement representative for Accounts Payable, fulfilling inquiries and communicating changes and potential issues
- Adopting our global procurement operations processes and leading our efforts to keep APAC aligned with our UK and US teams
- Providing Workday best practice guidance for APAC procurement teams
- Creating purchase orders for end user-placed orders in APAC; tracking and updating Jira tickets
- Creating and maintaining APAC monthly recurring purchase orders for data and telecom services
- Collaborating with Accounts Payable on APAC asset transfers, ensuring accurate monthly recording in Workday and managing accounting accruals by tracking and reconciling received orders
- Troubleshooting and resolving any three-way matching issues
- Creating procurement credit card expense reports for the APAC office
About You
- Have a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or a related field of study, or in-depth professional experience
- Have 5+ years of related professional experience
- Detail-orientated individual who explains complex problems with brevity and accuracy
- Organised; can multitask and handle competing priorities
- Team player who can increase responsibilities over time
- Self-starter who takes initiative and operates with a sense of urgency
- Interested in seeking improvements to existing systems and processes where possible
- Intermediately skilled with Excel
- Fluent in English
- Experience with Procure to Pay systems (Workday, SAP, Oracle, etc.) is highly preferred
- Understanding written Chinese is preferred
