Job Summary: In this role, you will lead and manage end to end supply chains, contract management function, while safeguarding Gentari’s interest.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing end to end Supply Chain, Procurement & Contracts Management function.
- Nurture EPC base, track international supply chains & trends, open alternate procurement channels, work closely in conjunction with Group in-country and Global procurement teams to develop an effective Procurement strategy.
- Incumbent must possess thorough knowledge of Utility scale, grid connected Solar based Renewable Energy projects.
- Should have handled Solar product & services procurement in aggregate of 2GW.
- Contract negotiations with EPC, O&M and Suppliers.
- Overall responsibility for planning, making strategies for Change Order, Contracts management. Planning & defining policies & processes to build in efficiency in supply chain & procurement of regular purchases such as Modules, BOS, Machinery, Material, Services, etc.
- Vendor development as per business requirements.
- Managing all project contractual activities including drafting, evaluation, negotiation & execution of subcontracts in liaison with contracts & legal team.
- Managing Domestic and Overseas logistics operations, coordinating with external agencies to achieve seamless & cost-effective transport solution. Coordinating with Customs, Excise, Taxation departments for various duty benefits and schemes.
- Successfully manage the contract manufacturing partners for timely procurement of products from their end.
- Optimization of product costs during the development phase with the Project Development team.
- Manage portfolio of vendors, suppliers and Develop purchasing strategy and control purchase department budget for manufacturing.
- Development of local Suppliers and maintain the supplier relationships as needed for the business.
- Develop the Purchase/Procurement Policies, Process, Systems in line with Budget and timelines set.
- Spend analysis, Strategic planning, forecasting, and Budgeting for Sourcing and procurement.
- Layout and Equipment planning/execution to ensure smooth material flow.
- Head Project vendor selection & Procurement which includes Plant Machinery, Lab Equipment’s, Utilities etc. & ensuring proper installation/Commissioning as per SOP.
- Develop and administer a transparent, fair & optimal Vendor evaluation and qualification system in line with Group SOP.
- Continuous involvement in the Supplier Selection Process to develop a supply base that provides competitive advantage in quality, value/cost, delivery, and technology.
- Sourcing of machinery from different Countries etc.
- Thorough understanding of Tax & Duty structures for Products & Services in the RE sector.
Qualifications & Skills
- High level of personal Integrity & value system.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related & MBA-Finance preferred.
- Preferably process procurement background in a leading RE EPC company.
- Minimum 10 -15 years of work experience with 5-7 years in Procurement and Supply Chain in Renewable Energy space.
- Should possess excellent skill sets in Communication, Negotiation, Networking & Relationship Management.
- Hands-on person with ability to work in a very leanly staffed environment.
- Possess personal drive to roll up sleeves and get things done.
- Excellent connects across the spectrum of Domestic & International equipment & service suppliers, EPC providers and service providers.
- Good commercial understanding of pricing trends and ability to make fairly accurate & realistic forecasts of future procurement budgets & costs.
- Basic proficiency in spoken mandarin & connects in China ecosystem shall be compelling attributes.
- Sound Knowledge of Contracts, Commercial matters, Quality, Safety, Environment standards, ERP such as NAV, SAP etc.
