Company description:
Fonoa is the Tax Operating System for autonomous tax. AI that tracks every rule, acts on every obligation, and proves every decision, built on modular infrastructure.
Fonoa’s modules cover the full indirect tax lifecycle: tax ID validation, real-time tax determination, e-invoicing, and returns. All on one shared data model and integration, with one audit trail. Each added capability makes the others stronger.
Agents monitor obligations, populate returns, catch anomalies and assemble audit packs in seconds. The system does the work. Humans make the calls. That’s autonomous tax.
We operate across 120+ countries, with clients going live in weeks, if not days.
Trusted by Canva, Netflix, Spotify, Uber, Zoom and Booking.com.
Role description:
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join our Finance team and take full ownership of vendor management and procurement operations across the business. This is a foundational role - you will establish processes from the ground up, bring proven procurement knowledge to the organisation, and become the go-to expert for everything related to suppliers and spend.
You will manage the full vendor lifecycle: from sourcing and RFP/RFI processes through commercial negotiations, contract execution, and ongoing vendor performance. Your remit spans all procurement categories - product, software, office, and third-party services - and you will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure best value and compliance at every step.
What you will do:
Design and implement end-to-end procurement processes and governance frameworks across the organisation
Manage the full vendor lifecycle - vendor identification, qualification, onboarding, and ongoing relationship management
Lead RFP and RFI processes: scoping requirements, issuing documentation, evaluating responses, and driving vendor selection
Collect and analyse multiple competitive bids to ensure optimal value and risk allocation
Lead commercial negotiations on contracts, pricing, SLAs, and terms with vendors across all spend categories
Own procurement for the entire business: products, third-party services, office supplies, and software licences
Manage the internal approvals workflow via procurement software, ensuring proper authorisation and audit trails
Partner with Finance, Legal, and operational teams to align procurement activity with business needs and budget cycles
Track vendor performance, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement across the supplier base
Own the end-to-end renewals process: maintain a forward view of all contract expiries, flag renewals ahead of notice-period deadlines, and lead renegotiation or consolidation
You’ll Be a Great Fit If:
You have 5+ years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience, ideally in a fast-paced or scaling environment
You have built procurement processes and frameworks from scratch — not just stepped into an existing system
You have a strong track record in commercial contract negotiations across diverse spend categories
You are comfortable running end-to-end RFP and RFI processes and know how to evaluate multi-bid responses with rigour
You have handled all procurement categories — software licences, third-party services, and physical goods — without needing to be told where to start
You are tool-savvy and comfortable managing approval workflows in procurement software
You are a natural collaborator who can influence without authority across Finance, Legal, and operational teams
You bring an analytical mindset, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to push decisions forward even under ambiguity
You are fluent in English
