Position Objective:

OneEnergy is seeking a Procurement Manager, Supply Chain and Quality for our Distributed Generation solar projects across the United States. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in renewable energy, procurement, operations, logistics, and project management.  Established business relationships with vendors of industry related equipment are considered a strong advantage for the position. Preference will be given to candidates with solar industry experience in topics such as tariffs, current and future domestic manufacturing capacity, and global supply chain dynamics. 

The candidate will be adept at working on highly complex projects while demonstrating nuanced and proactive communication skills. Qualifying candidates will have a demonstrated track record of success in working cohesively across several project support functions to complete assigned tasks efficiently and orderly while leaving clear and concise documentation. Candidates must show a history of creating processes and procedures to track procurement, fabrication, shipping, delivery, and logistics of high value solar energy equipment.  

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing projections and performing analytics on project portfolios, pricing and pricing forecasts, project performance, and other information to inform our near-term and mid-term strategic planning processes.
  • Interviewing and screening potential vendors and material suppliers per company standards with special attention to safety, value, and quality.
  • Supporting the pricing solicitation process, facilitating pre-bid meetings, and driving consistency across such approaches.
  • Working with vendors, manufacturers, and suppliers to secure advantageous pricing and terms.
  • Spearheading creation and maintenance of a pricing database in our existing CRM platform.
  • Finalizing purchase order details and associated logistics including contractual terms and conditions in partnership with our legal, technical, and project management teams.
  • Tracking and reporting key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Managing product logistics and sharing information on vendor performance.
  • Overseeing risk management for supply contracts and agreements.
  • Coordinating with cross-functional team members to manage project deliveries before and during construction.
  • Supporting the vendor qualification process, establishing, and maintaining the Approved Vendor List in CRM platform.
  • Monitoring long-term supply chain dynamics to strategically direct our purchasing efforts.
  • Preparing presentation materials and supporting the team in securing Investment Committee approvals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of proven experience in renewable energy or a related industry.
  • Strong track record of success in launching new initiatives, project management, budgeting, and resource/team management.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy suppliers, transformers, switchgear, and electrical equipment.
  • Desire to build interdependent relationships with business partners.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of integrity and organizational capacity to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong track record of successful collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with proven ability to take ownership, initiative, and accountability.
  • Working knowledge with Microsoft Office/365 is a must, project management, and CRM software such as Salesforce a plus.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles beneficial, and experience with associated software, including procurement software highly desired.
  • Demonstrated qualities of integrity, credibility, and professional responsibility
  • Ability to travel and access sites of varying terrain. Position requires some travel, up to 1-2X per quarter or about 10% of working time; must carry an active driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

OneEnergy’s compensation packages are dependent on an array of factors including, but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, geographic location, and other organizational needs. The estimated salary range for this position is $75,000 - $110,000. We provide generous Paid Time Off (six weeks/year) and an impactful Volunteer Time Off Program.
