As Procurement Manager Italy (m/f/d) you are responsible for leading the strategic and operational procurement activities for our Powder Metallurgy Business Unit. This role ensures a cost-effective, timely, and high-quality supply to our production sites while driving supplier excellence, sourcing strategies, and continuous cost optimization initiatives.Job Description:
- Responsibility for strategic and operational procurement activities to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and high-quality supply of production sites.
- Implementation of the regional procurement strategy and continuous improvement of local purchasing processes and supplier structures.
- Conducting price, contract, and commercial negotiations, as well as concluding supplier agreements.
- Analysis of procurement markets and identification, qualification, and development of new suppliers to ensure a competitive supplier base.
- Establishment and maintenance of sustainable supplier relationships, including supplier performance management and claims management.
- Close collaboration with Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and regional Procurement teams.
- Leadership, coaching, and development of the local procurement team.
Required Skills and Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in Procurement, preferably within a manufacturing environment, combined with a solid technical understanding.
- Proven experience in the development and implementation of procurement and supplier strategies.
- Strong expertise in supplier management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization.
- Analytical and solution-oriented approach to work, combined with strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Leadership capabilities with the ability to develop team members and collaborate effectively in cross-functional and international teams.
- Fluency in German, Italian and English.
