The Opportunity:

Hellenic Cables, a subsidiary of Cenergy Holdings with more than 70 years of manufacturing excellence, is expanding its global footprint with a new state-of-the-art facility in Baltimore, Maryland. This advanced manufacturing operation will support growing global demand for highly engineered power and telecommunications cable products.

As part of this growth, we are seeking a Procurement Manager to support plant operations through strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement execution across multiple categories. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organization and play a key role in building and optimizing procurement processes within a dynamic industrial manufacturing environment.

Role Overview:

The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the full procurement lifecycle across multiple purchasing categories, including Machinery & Industrial Services, Raw & Secondary Materials, MRO - Spare Parts & Consumables, and General & IT Goods and Services. This role partners closely with plant leadership, operations, engineering, finance, and corporate procurement teams to drive cost savings, ensure supplier performance, and support operational continuity.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead procurement activities across assigned categories, including sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, and supplier performance management
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that support operational goals, cost optimization, and long-term business objectives
  • Identify and execute cost-saving opportunities through total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis and cross-functional collaboration
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and other internal stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure timely procurement support
  • Manage supplier relationships and maintain strong market knowledge of materials, equipment, and industrial service providers
  • Support strategic sourcing initiatives and group-wide agreements in partnership with Corporate Procurement teams
  • Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and technological developments to identify opportunities and mitigate supply risks
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and contract terms
  • Utilize ERP systems and procurement tools to manage purchasing activities, reporting, and data analysis
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance procurement efficiency, supplier performance, and operational reliability
Qualifications/Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field required
  • MBA or postgraduate degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • CPSM, CPIM, or CSCP certifications are a plus
  • Strong knowledge of indirect and indirect procurement best practices, sourcing strategies, and supplier management
  • Experience purchasing synthetic polymers and metals (e.g., copper, aluminum) is preferred.
  • Experience negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships across multiple procurement categories
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP experience preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with changing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • High level of initiative, accountability, and attention to detail

SALARY PAY RANGE: $95,000 - $155,000 plus bonus 

The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and prior experience. Benefits include healthcare (medical, dental, vision, prescription drugs) available the first of the month following date of hire, 401(k) with match, life insurance, AD&D, short-term disability, paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays.
