Position Summary
As part of the comprehensive internship program, interns will participate in events which help them build a strong network within the SJI community and with fellow interns. Interns enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work environment throughout this 11-week summer program. The Ignite Internship Program also offers participants mentorship, educational seminars, volunteer opportunities, and visibility within the organization.The Finance Intern will support the Financial Planning & Analysis team with financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, business analysis, and process improvement activities. This internship provides hands-on exposure to corporate finance and an opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a professional business environment while developing analytical, communication, and technical skills.
The Procurement & Supply Chain Summer Intern will support the Procurement team with projects and daily activities while gaining hands-on experience in a corporate procurement and supply chain environment. The internship will provide exposure to sourcing, purchasing, supplier management, and data analysis.
Essential Functions:
- Assist with procurement and supply chain projects and initiatives.
- Support sourcing and purchasing activities.
- Assist with supplier research and information gathering.
- Support the organization and maintenance of supplier, purchasing, and contract information.
- Assist with data analysis, reporting, and tracking.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with internal business partners.
- Support process improvement initiatives.
- Assist with other procurement and supply chain projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Background:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Interest in developing a career in procurement and/or supply chain management.

Compensation Range:
$18 - 28We are committed to pay transparency and ensuring equitability compensation for all employees. The pay range for this position reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits, bonuses, or other forms of compensation that might be part of the total compensation package. The specific salary offered will be based on a candidate’s qualifications, education, and experience.

SJI, an energy infrastructure holding company based in Folsom, NJ, delivers energy services to customers through two primary subsidiaries: SJI Utilities (SJIU) and SJI Energy Enterprises (SJIEE). SJIU houses the company’s regulated natural gas utility operations, delivering safe, reliable and affordable natural gas to more than 700,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers across New Jersey via its South Jersey Gas and Elizabethtown Gas subsidiaries. SJIEE houses the company’s non-utility operations primarily focused on clean energy development and decarbonization via renewable energy production and energy management activities.
