The Procurement Agent is responsible for executing procurement activities in support of program and operational requirements. This role manages purchase orders from requisition through delivery, ensures compliance with company policies and government regulations (FAR/DFARS), and works closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to meet cost, schedule, and quality objectives. Operates with moderate independence and supports continuous improvement of procurement processes. This is a full-time position that is onsite at our office in El Segundo, California.
This position's internal job title is Procurement Agent. Our team is currently hiring for level 3.
Position Responsibilities:
Procurement Execution
- Review and process purchase requisitions (PRs) into purchase orders (POs) in ERP system (e.g., Costpoint)
- Ensure accuracy of PO terms, pricing, delivery dates, and required flow downs
- Manage end-to-end PO lifecycle including placement, acknowledgment, and closeout
- Maintain alignment with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) schedules and program priorities
Supplier Management
- Communicate requirements clearly to suppliers and ensure timely acknowledgments
- Meet SLA expectations
- Follow up on open orders, track delivery status, and resolve delays
- Support supplier performance by escalating issues and coordinating corrective actions
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure procurement actions comply with FAR/DFARS and internal procedures
- Support CPSR readiness by completing compliant procurement packages (price analysis, competition documentation, sole source justifications, etc.)
- Apply appropriate clauses, flow downs, and quality requirements to all POs
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with document control policies
Price & Cost Analysis
- Perform basic price analysis using historical data, market comparisons, or competitive quotes
- Support negotiations to achieve fair and reasonable pricing
- Document pricing rationale in required forms and systems
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Programs to ensure requirements are clearly defined and executed
- Resolve issues related to specifications, delivery schedules, or supplier performance
- Support program milestones by proactively identifying and mitigating supply chain risks
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in procurement
- Experience in aerospace or defense
- Familiarity with FAR/DFARS and relevant procurement regulations
- Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite
- This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A final U.S. clearance Post Start is required
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 3 years' of relevant experience in Procurement, Business Management, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Experience as an Aerospace Buyer or Subcontracts Administration
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements
- Comfortable with briefing all levels of leadership
- Number of programs that provide both paid and unpaid time away from work.

Summary pay range: Level 3: $94,350-$138,750
