Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive P2P Specialist to support MTC's outsourced finance operations service. You will help manage the end-to-end procurement and payment process for MTC's service engagements, from identifying purchasing needs and issuing purchase orders to processing invoices and ensuring timely vendor payments.
Working within MTC's established processes, you'll coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to keep operations running smoothly, resolve discrepancies, and maintain compliance with MTC's financial controls. This is a great fit for a finance or procurement professional who thrives in a fast paced service delivery environment and enjoys driving efficiency and strong vendor relationships.
Employment Conditions
- Employment Type : 6-month fixed-term contract. No probationary period. (Renewable based on work performance and workload)
- Salary : ¥5,000,000 – ¥6,000,000 annually. Determined based on experience, skills, and other factors in accordance with company regulations.
- Allowance : Commuting Allowance
- Working Hours : 9:00 – 18:00 (1-hour break)
- Overtime : Not required
- Holidays : Saturdays, Sundays, and Japanese public holidays. ※ Annual paid leave and special leave also provided
- Remote Work : 1–2 days a week
- Work Location : Nihonbashi Muromachi Mitsui Tower, 3-2-1 Nihonbashi Muromachi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, JAPAN 103-0022 (Office location may change within Greater Tokyo Area; relocation is not required.)
- Insurance : Employment insurance, health insurance, employees' pension insurance, workers' accident compensation insurance
- Smoking Policy : No smoking indoors in principle
- This position is open only to candidates who currently reside in Japan, and relocation support will not be provided.
On a given day, a Purchase-to-Pay Specialist will:
- Oversee the entire purchase-to-pay cycle from start to finish.
- Generate and handle both Procurement request and purchase orders.
- Liaise with external suppliers and internal teams.
- Guarantee punctual and precise vendor payments.
- Resolve any inconsistencies between invoices and payments.
- Keep detailed and correct records of all transactions.
- Track budget and expenditures in relation to purchase orders.
- Adhere to corporate guidelines and legal stipulations.
Requirements
In order to be successful in this role you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years in procure to pay or a similar role.
- Comprehensive understanding of procurement and accounting procedures.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Fluent Japanese and English by business level.
