Job Responsibilities:
What you can expect
  • Coordinate the improvement of the Global Engineering Processes and Tools for process areas including:
  • Review, assess, deploy process improvement requests
  • Definition of new processes, methods and coordinate tool improvements
  • Coordinate interaction of stakeholders including piloting new and improved processes
  • Creation and deployment of training.

  • Collaborate within the Global Engineering Process and Tools team for standardization across all process areas
  • Active facilitation and coordination between:
  • Stakeholders as the service representative of a process area
  • Support of other process areas as needed
  • Coordination with IT and Product Areas as needed
  • Agile Program Management Office methodology
  • Engineering community for standardization of the use of testing engineering process, methods, tools.

  • Supports GEPT communication sessions and deployment
  • PI Planning outputs
  • Configuration of PLM system supporting engineering tasks
  • Accountable for producing outputs through coordination with stakeholders for specific process areas in accordance with defined deliverable parameters and initiated through Process Improvement Requests (submitted by engineering community, other stakeholders, audit results, etc.)
  • Train stakeholders in process areas regarding updated processes, methods or tool updates
  • Drive and improve collaboration with stakeholders with a "customer service" perspective throughout Global Engineering Process Tools organization with a focus on testing
  • Execute complex work assignments requiring independent problem solving, impact analysis, and consideration of inter-dependencies
  • Investigates new ideas, evaluates alternatives and considers risk management
  • Support process area deliverables with consideration of interfaces within engineering domains and product development areas
  • Determine and coordinate or deploy tool improvements
  • Lead/Participate in global workshops and working groups with key stakeholders
  • Define and support project management activities for process area
  • Ensure goal commitments are met
  • Create and deploy training materials supporting Global Engineering Process releases and tool updates
  • Mentors and coaches junior team members, as well as peers within fields of expertise
  • Engage in special projects as needed
  • Support internal/ external audits
  • Propose opportunities for improvements

What you'll bring
  • Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent
  • Some education in optics is preferred
  • 3-5 years in Automotive
  • 1+ year of optics
  • Stakeholder (Customer) service approach
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Interpersonal/ networking skills, communicative and engaging
  • Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Open-minded to new processes and changes
  • Ability to work independently and as a larger group team member
