RESPONSIBILITIES
- Driving continuous improvement of existing processes to ensure cost competitiveness, safety, and/or sustainability.
- Managing new product and raw material introductions into the Morrisburg plant.
- Institutionalizing process chemistry knowledge within Evonik Oil Additives plant with special emphasis on operator/technician training content.
REQUIREMENTS
- BS Chemistry / Chemical Engineer with at least 5 years manufacturing experience required
- Masters or Ph.D. Chemistry / Chemical Engineering with 5 years process development experience preferred
- Strong leadership, supervisory, and project management skills required
- Strong scientific or technology knowledge that delivers sound technical strategy decisions and effective execution of project plans
- Strong critical thinking skills that yield sound conclusions and decisions in complex environments
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good interpersonal and team skills
- Ability to develop sound project plans, realistic goals, and dependable forecasts
- Ability to operate in a self-motivated and independent manner
- Willing to travel to support EOA at other sites and regions.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement
- Batch manufacturing experience preferred
- Demonstrated leadership in EH&S, including both personal and process safety
- Training in RCA, PSM, ISO9001 preferred
