You will join our Environment and Health Business Unit
We invite you to join our Technical Safety and Risk team. In this role you will be required to leverage your experience and technical knowledge to provide risk management advisory to our clients. Your role is based in Singapore and your scope of work covers the Asia region. As a technical leader, you will lead a diverse range of projects requiring you to engage with clients, stakeholders and contractors with a focus on providing sound risk-based solutions.

As a Lead Consultant for Technical Safety and Risk , you are responsible to provide technical leadership and delivery of technical projects, and support the development of team members’ skills and capability.
You will assist the Senior Manager in business development by contributing to the development of consultancy offerings and prepositions; identification and development of project opportunities; preparation of cost estimates and scopes. Our aim is to grow the Technical Safety and Risk practice in the Asia region. You will take on this fulfilling key role in expanding the operation and growing the technical competencies of the Technical Safety and Risk team in the Asia region.
As a Lead Consultant for Technical Safety and Risk, the main responsibilities are:
- Lead and manage technical safety and risk projects to ensure deliverables achieve client expectations for scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
- Chairing technical safety engineering workshops. These may include HAZID, HAZOP, Bow-Ties, ALARP, LOPA etc.
- Writing Safety Cases and Safety Risk Assessments for complex projects and issues, demonstrating the achievement of safety objectives and safety risk criteria.
- Contribute to business development of technical safety and risk services. Identify and develop new opportunities and prepare technical proposals.
- Provide guidance, development and mentorship to junior technical safety and risk consultants

- Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent with minimum 8 years’ experience with risk management advisory . Professional registration is a plus.
- Strong knowledge in Oil & Gas sectors, including both upstream and downstream, petrochemical, chemical and energy sectors.
- Experienced in design principles, processes and standard for process plant.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Good project management skills.
- Experienced in mentoring and developing technical skills.
- Good understanding of relevant legislation, including MHI regulations, Singapore Safety Case, and related codes and standards.
- Knowledge of Physical Effects Modelling and Quantitative Risk Assessment, experience with Phast and Safeti, or Effects and Riskcurves is preferred.
