Fuyao Automotive North America Incorporated (FANA) is in the general warehousing and glass manufacturing industry in Plymouth MI. We provide automotive glass for the North American market and currently have glass manufacturing relationships with some of the top automotive manufacturers in North America including GM, Honda, Chrysler, Kia, BMW, and Hyundai. We operate several production lines for a variety of vehicle models from each of these automotive manufacturers.

Position: IPQC (In Process Quality Control)

Summary/Objective
Ensure that the parts being produced meet quality specifications. Help monitor part quality on the Production floor.
Essential Functions
- Perform the First Piece Approval Process with Team Leads and Technicians to ensure the parts conform to standards.
- Monitor the quality of the parts on the line and ensure that the parts meet standards by performing sample audits on the first and last pieces.
- Check the primer path and primer quality on all the lines.
- Perform Daily Process Audits online to make sure that processes are being followed.
- Provide support in training GP12 in job duties and work instructions.
- Dock Audit is responsible for assigned programs.
- Help with containments and proper disposition of the non-conforming material found during Containment.
- Review and sign off on the production scrap produced by the shift.
- Alert all Departments of issues found on the Production Floor and Shipping Dock. Send out daily reports to document and escalate any findings.
- Other duties as assigned by IPQE and IPQC LEAD

Support IPQE and IPQC LEAD to monitor GP12.
Work Environment
- The job routinely operates on the Production Floor but may require the employee to go to the Shipping Dock/Area. IPQC Leads need to work on the computer to make daily reports.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This position requires the ability to lift glass over 20 lbs and remain active for most of the day. During this job the employee may have to kneel or squat. The employee must be able to distinguish between different colors and shapes of glass.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Travel is not expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
- Two years’ Automotive Quality.
Preferred Education and Experience
- A High School Diploma and 3 years of automotive Quality.

Fuyao Group provides total solutions for safety glass and automotive trim for a wide range of transportation vehicles, including design, production, sales and service related to automotive-grade float glass, automotive glass, locomotive glass, luggage racks and window trim. Our automotive glass manufacturing facility in Dayton, Ohio enables us to produce up to 4 million automotive units and 4 million windshields for the ARG market. We currently supply aftermarket glass to companies around the world.
