We are currently seeking a Process Engineer for our Amesbury, MA location.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
- Analyze and interpret various plastic/rubber material manufacturing techniques, procedures and processing conditions.
- Evaluate processing conditions and resultant material properties and troubleshoot as necessary. Assume full responsibility for managing process conditions to meet Process Control Document requirements and mechanical and physical properties
- Troubleshoot manufacturing process problems and implement corrective measures.
- Evaluate and provide costing support for new and existing products.
- Create/manage bills of materials and process plans for multiple resin manufacturing processes to support operations.
- Develop and implement processing conditions.
- Provide training as necessary to operations personnel.
- Develop and execute continuous improvement plans and processes.
- Write and maintain detailed procedures and specifications.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s of Science degree in any of the following: Plastics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or Polymer Chemistry.
- 1-3 years of industry experience in a manufacturing or product development environment
- Ability to evaluate, develop and manage process parameters in the manufacture of products.
- High attention to detail.
- Must be able to obtain a DOD security clearance.
- Current computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
Desired Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Motivated self-starter
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma continuous improvement programs. Green belt certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of CAD; Solid Works, Solid Edge, Master Cam.
- An understanding of dielectric and magnetic properties of materials.
Complete salary range for this role: $68,665 - $117,700
