Summary:
The Process Control Engineer will assist with the development and implementation of manufacturing processes on new and existing products, as well as leading the Lean Six Sigma program, projects and initiatives for the Wisconsin plant. With a focus on design systems that maximize productivity, reduce waste, and improve process operating efficiencies at or above the standard Key Performance Indicators. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by Manager as needed.
Requirements:
- 4-year degree in any engineering or related field
- Green belt certification or ability to attain certification upon hire through internal training
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills
- Must be experienced with a personal computer, Word, Excel and Power Point
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Must be able to read and write English.
- Project management experience, managing projects, budgets, and cross-functional teams is preferred.
Accountability # 1 – Process Control / Production (60%):
- Train team members on the methodologies of both the DMAIC and Kaizen processes.
- Work with team members to identify LSS opportunities within Wisconsin operations.
- Lead project teams through the DMAIC/Kaizen processes.
- Build and drive a Lean Six Sigma culture within all Wisconsin operations
- Assist the production line design, integration, installation, and start-up of capital projects.
- Work with key stakeholders to identify and implement continuous improvement and Lean Six Sigma initiative across the operational areas.
- Responsible for evaluating existing processes and configuring manufacturing systems to reduce costs and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Must demonstrate the ability to complete tasks assigned and provide positive input to set priorities and the ability to make sound decisions while working on tasks in a timely manner.
- Experience with pursuing new technologies to enhance or replace existing processes.
- Must be able to motivate/lead others, deal with ambiguity, have a result-driven mind-set, good decision-making skills, and excellent communication skills.
- Assist with the implementation of new or improved processes, selection of equipment to purchase and recommendation of optimal machine tooling.
- Investigate and troubleshoot any issues with processes or equipment.
- Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.
- Collect and analyze data for statistical process control and provide regular project progress and status report.
- Work with other internal and external engineer(s) to ensure all product, process and system requirements are in place from initial product conception to the finished result.

- Ensure clear and timely communication with internal and external departments to maximize productivity and minimize down time.
