Join a Fast-Paced, Patient-Focused Specialty PracticeThe Spine & Pain Center is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Prior Authorization & Procedure Coordinator to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in coordinating patient care by managing prior authorizations, scheduling procedures, and ensuring seamless communication between providers, patients, insurance carriers, and surgery centers.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in delivering excellent patient service while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Schedule- Monday – Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- No nights or weekends

- Submit, track, and manage prior authorizations for procedures, imaging, medications, and specialty treatments
- Coordinate outpatient procedures and surgery center scheduling
- Verify insurance eligibility and authorization requirements
- Communicate with insurance carriers regarding approvals, denials, and appeals
- Schedule new patient, follow-up, and post-procedure appointments
- Provide patients with pre-procedure instructions and scheduling support
- Coordinate with providers, medical assistants, front office staff, and billing teams
- Maintain accurate scheduling and authorization documentation within the EHR system
- Assist with schedule optimization, cancellations, reschedules, and waitlists
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of medical scheduling, insurance authorization, or healthcare administrative experience preferred
- Experience in pain management, orthopedics, surgery scheduling, or specialty healthcare strongly preferred
- Experience with ModMed or other Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems preferred
- Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills required
