Job Description:
As a Consultant supporting our Federal government client, you will work as part of an innovative team to research, prepare, and deliver high-quality solutions. You will be trusted to complete tasks independently, begin leading others in completing tasks, and contribute to the overall team effort to solve challenging problems for the benefit of our customers.
The successful candidate will have the ability to:
- Interacting with stakeholders to understand project needs, collect and synthesize data, and customize solutions
- Developing a deep understanding of what the client is trying to accomplish and create strategies to solve multiple dimensions of a business problem
- Creating client-ready deliverables with oversight including insights reports, toolkits, resources, and other project related client facing content
- Developing quantitative and qualitative data collection tools and conduct data collection and data analysis
- Scheduling, participating in, and taking notes in client facing meetings with key stakeholders and project executives
- Collaborating with teammates to produce and present innovative solutions
- Independently managing time to complete assigned tasks as part of the larger client engagement
- Adhere to customer and agency's standards and checklists for 508 remediation services.
- Validate front-end features for 508 remediation against Microsoft Office Suite and Web Accessibility standards, including test development, administration, outcome evaluation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, public policy, economics, political science, communications, planning, technology and policy, math, statistics, engineering, physical science, or related discipline
- 4+ years of relevant, professional experience
- Knowledge of Human-Centered Design/Design Thinking, employee experience, customer experience, and/or service design
- Two to five years of relevant work experience in accessibility testing and remediation on documents and web content to include but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Adobe PDF, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Web Courses
- Thorough understanding of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and WCAGG 2.0
- Proficient use of accessibility testing tools /interfaces such as JAWS and Color Contrast Analyzer
- Experience troubleshooting and providing Section 508 remediation services for MS Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat documents.
- Curious and open-minded approach to work

- Engage with technology—with comfort and ease (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, Monday, Slack, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Human-Centered Design, design thinking, and/or service design background
- DHS Trusted Tester certification
- Experience consulting for the Federal government
Job Location and Travel Expectations:
- This position is remote. Some travel (25%) is anticipated.
- Some meetings will be conducted on-site with customers in Washington, D.C.
