PRN Life Skills Development Instructors Wanted
The Arc Nature Cost is hiring PRN (On-Call) Life Skills Instructors.
The Life Skills Development Instructor provides direct care, support and behavioral modification services for individuals (customers) with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Job duties and responsibilities include:
- Train and coach in occupational skills, socialization, personal hygiene and daily living.
- Participate as an equal Team member, providing supports and training based on a person-centered approach.
- Transport customers to and from their day program and/or activities.
- Complete required daily notes on customer activities.
- Ensure all communication with customers, families, co-workers and supervisors is professional and courteous.
- Respect the confidentiality of customers, co-workers and the agency in accordance with HIPAA policies.
Schedule: Program is open Monday thru Friday 8am – 4pm (depending on driving schedule).
Qualifications- A valid Florida driver license and clean driving record
- Minimum age of 21
- Minimum 3 years' driving experience
- High school diploma or GED
- English language skills in reading/comprehension, writing and speaking
- Reliable and self-motivated
- Experience with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (preferred)
- Pass Level 2 and Local background screenings and drug test *

What We Do
The Arc Nature Coast, Inc. is a nonprofit serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Hernando, Pasco and Sumter counties. Founded in the 1970s and affiliated with The Arc movement, it provides individualized supports including advocacy, education, life-skills enrichment, vocational training, residential services and transportation across multiple staffed locations to promote inclusion, independence and community participation.
