Job Purpose:
- The Diagnostic Imaging Tech at LifeCare Hospitals of North Texas is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and providing Diagnostic Imaging services, including both plain imaging and fluoroscopy, to patients. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of anatomy and physiology, radiation safety, pathology, medical terminology, and exposure technique to ensure high-quality patient care and imaging results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and document pertinent data about the patient and the procedure to be performed, ensuring all necessary information is gathered for accurate imaging.
- Identify any problems or needs for performing procedures and follow select exam protocols in response to identified needs, ensuring patient safety and procedure efficacy.
- Evaluate images for proper positioning, appropriate anatomy, and overall image quality to ensure diagnostic accuracy and reliability.
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment effectively and safely, adhering to all regulatory and safety standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures performed, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Required Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology.
Required Experience:
- Two years of acute or critical care experience.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior CR/DR, PACS, and RIS experience.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to operate diagnostic imaging equipment.
