THE OPPORTUNITY
The Private Client Services Officer is responsible for managing all facets of affluent consumer and business client relationships while delivering an exceptional end-to-end client experience that supports relationship deepening and client retention. This role reports to the Private Client Services Manager and partners closely with Private Banking Relationship Managers and their clients to provide best-in-class service, fulfillment, and coordination with internal business partners.
The position performs a broad range of operational and client service functions, including onboarding new deposit accounts and serving as a subject matter expert in treasury management products and services for consumer and business clients with varying levels of complexity. The Private Banking Services Officer handles incoming client and business partner inquiries via phone and email, resolves account-related issues, and ensures transactions are processed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
The incumbent consistently exercises sound judgment and decision-making when responding to inquiries, approvals, and service requests. All responsibilities are performed in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as applicable federal and state laws and regulations. The role demonstrates risk excellence through accurate documentation, sound judgment, timely escalation of issues, and strict adherence to policies and regulatory requirements, supporting a strong control environment and positive client outcomes. Performs all duties in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the Company operates.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- Supports all facets of the New Accounts function, including opening new accounts, account maintenance, account supersedes, ordering checks, and servicing affluent consumer and business client relationships.
- Delivers a high-touch client experience by responding to client requests, identifying service needs, and providing timely and accurate solutions that enhance client satisfaction and retention.
- Builds and maintains effective working relationships with clients, Private Banking Relationship Managers, internal business partners, and frontline staff to ensure seamless service delivery and timely issue resolution.
- Prepares Treasury Management setup documentation and supports the implementation, servicing, and troubleshooting of Treasury Management products and services.
- Serves as a knowledgeable resource regarding deposit products, account servicing procedures, and Treasury Management solutions.
- Ensures all account opening and servicing activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with audit, regulatory, and internal policy requirements.
- Maintains a strong understanding of Customer Identification Program (CIP), Know Your Customer (KYC), Beneficial Ownership, BSA/AML, OFAC, and related regulatory requirements. Ensures all client onboarding and account maintenance activities are supported by accurate documentation and comply with Bank and regulatory standards.
- Prepares, reviews, and maintains account documentation in accordance with the Bank's CIP, KYC, Beneficial Ownership, BSA/AML, OFAC, and other applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Processes transactions and wire transfer requests within assigned authority limits while maintaining strong risk controls and attention to detail.
- Performs daily operational and account servicing activities, including account maintenance, transaction review, reconciliation, exception processing, fraud monitoring, research requests, stop payments, debit card maintenance, mobile deposit administration, Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) support, and other servicing functions.
- Researches and resolves routine client inquiries, account discrepancies, and operational issues. Escalates complex, high-risk, or sensitive matters to the Private Client Services Manager as appropriate.
- Coordinates directly with clients and internal departments to facilitate requests, resolve issues, and ensure accurate and timely completion of all service activities.
- Partners with Legal, Compliance, BSA/AML, Operations, and other internal business partners to support client requests, account onboarding activities, and timely resolution of service-related matters.
- Maintains a thorough understanding of Bank products, systems, policies, procedures, and risk management practices to effectively support affluent consumer and business clients.
- Supports the Private Client Services Manager in delivering an exceptional client experience and achieving departmental service objectives.
- Follow all established policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 3 years of new accounts Experience and 3 years of banking experience, including a demonstrated ability to support affluent consumer and business clients.
- Associate’s degree or higher is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of consumer and business account opening, including Customer Identification Program (CIP), Know Your Customer (KYC), Beneficial Ownership, BSA/AML, OFAC, and related regulatory documentation requirements.
- Working knowledge of Treasury Management products and services, along with a solid understanding of bank products, services, and internal systems.
- Proficiency in key banking systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, perform a variety of operational and client service functions, and maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, risk controls, departmental policies and procedures, and operational processes associated with consumer and business deposit account onboarding and servicing.
- High School diploma or equivalent required

SALARY RANGE
The base salary ultimately offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant in alignment with market data and other factors.
