Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Print Operator. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with our design and product development teams to produce high-quality samples of our home goods products. You will learn to use our equipment to create prints that meet our standards of consistency and quality.
What You’ll Do:
- Operate an industrial sized printer (load, unload, perform test prints, start and stop jobs, identify quality defects)
- Operate Zund cutting machine to cut designated samples
- Follow SOPs to print out samples that will then be reviewed by the Product Development and Design teams
- Communicate status of tasks and identify roadblocks early
- Support purchasing and organization of material and consumable needs
- Assist with ad hoc projects, including evaluating new materials and providing feedback related to printing and cutting
- Update a daily QC tracker with scan results to make sure compliance standards are met
- Keep a clean and organized workspace which includes performing maintenance tasks on equipment to keep the printers / cutting machines in good working order
Required:
- Work onsite at our Torrance research and development facility 5 days a week
- Shift is 5 AM - 2 PM
- Might flex 1-2 hours depending on project needs
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift heavy rolls for the printers throughout the day (Lifting 80 -150lbs)
- Ability to bend/twist at waist and knees on a consistent basis
- Strong communication skills including ability to communicate updates to product development team and cross functional partners
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment and ensure project delivery requirements are met
- Excellent time management skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to work independently with little supervision and in a team environment
- Computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Able to become forklift certified (training provided after hire)
Compensation:
- $20 - $23 per hour
