The ADI Power uModule Team seeks a visionary Principal Applications Engineer to drive our uModule business to new heights. This senior-level role is ideal for a strategic technical leader ready to shape product direction, guide major cross-functional initiatives, and influence the broader organization and industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical authority on power module applications, sought out by teams across the organization and by key external partners.
- Lead the definition and execution of technical strategy for new product lines, impacting multiple markets and business units.
- Anticipate market and technology trends, driving innovation and expanding ADI’s presence in new and existing markets.
- Champion and guide major cross-team projects from conception through successful commercialization, ensuring alignment with company strategy.
- Mentor and develop engineering talent at scale, fostering a culture of growth and technical excellence.
- Represent ADI as a subject matter expert at industry conferences, with customers, and in strategic partnerships.
- Oversee development of advanced simulation models, design tools, and methodologies that set new standards for efficiency, power density, and reliability.
- Deliver high-impact technical documentation and presentations for executive leadership, customers, and the industry.
Minimum Qualifications
- MSEE in power electronics with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated organization-wide technical leadership and influence.
- Proven track record guiding new product definition, development, and market introduction.
- Expert in designing, building, and optimizing advanced switching-mode power supply circuits.
- Proficient with leading-edge simulation, modeling, and design tools.
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
- Experience mentoring and developing other engineers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional or cross-market initiatives.
- Recognized industry presence (publications, speaking engagements, or patents).
- Advanced knowledge of system-level integration and emerging technologies.
- Knowledge of embedded programming and communication protocols (e.g., I2C/PMbus).
