Principal Systems Engineer - IV&V

Job Description
BAE Systems, Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line within the Precision Strike (PS) Business Area has an immediate opening for an IV&V Systems Engineer within the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) program.
The selected candidate will support the technical planning, execution of system integration, verification and validation and qualification testing of APKWS development efforts. In this role, they will support the review of systems requirements including hardware, software, component, subsystem and operational. They will help generate the overall system test strategies including the system verification plans, procedures and reports. They will prepare and deliver technical presentations to internal stakeholders and customers. They will work as part of a team that supports hands-on efforts to integrate and test assemblies and subassemblies. Having the ability to work across functional engineering disciplines will only serve to enhance success in the Systems Integration, Verification and Validation role.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field in addition to 6+ Years of relevant industry experience or equivalent
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance (secret or higher)
• Experience with laboratory integration and test activities involving electronic systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work across functional engineering disciplines
• Proficiency in MS Office tools and willingness to learn custom-built test software GUIs

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Experience in system architecting of solutions for guided projectiles
• Experience briefing leadership teams
• Understanding of military operations and application of munitions seeker technologies
• Hands-on experience or knowledge in the following areas:
  • Use of MATLAB or other programming languages/tools
  • Testing electronic board stacks
  • Hardware-in-the-Loop testing
  • Test and experimentation efforts in relevant environments

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $115779 - $196825
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
