As a Principal Software Engineer – PLM & Digital Engineering you will be responsible for understanding requirements/problem statements from Product engineering, Systems Engineering and extended functional groups to architect and deploy PLM extended solutions. Responsibility includes working closely with offshore/outsourced resources for application development, support, and optimization. You will own and lead the technical capability evaluation of PLM and extended applications that could potentially meet business requirements and develop architecture to onboard and integrate with other Honeywell Aerospace on-premises plus cloud-hosted as applicable.
Candidates should possess at least 8 plus years of experience in Teamcenter PLM solution and related tools. Any experience on tools like Cameo, Syndeia is a definite plus. He will play a pivotal role in Teamcenter and Digital Thread solution projects, ensuring technical solutions are aligned with business objectives and effectively address organizational requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivery of global PLM (Teamcenter) and Digital Thread deployments. Work with the Strategic Business Groups (SBGs) and partner with Product Engineering and Systems Engineering teams in architecture and solution planning.
- Deploy scalable MBSE system tools and solutions that are tailored to meet business needs. Support on Syndeia digital thread solutions. Document architectures for platform and development teams in conjunction with Solution Architects.
- Execute all phases of Teamcenter PLM projects: requirements gathering, system design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Stay updated on Siemens Teamcenter advancements and recommend innovative solutions.
- Ensure alignment and support of all critical systems relative to security and data privacy policies and standards inclusive of accessibility, vulnerability, and website inventory management.
- Ensure seamless integration of Teamcenter with CAD and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
- Architect solutions for complex PLM integrations, including BOM management, Change Management, CAD & ERP integrations.
- Optimize existing Teamcenter environments for performance, scalability, and usability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business SMEs) to deliver value-driven solutions.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in PLM systems with strong skills in Siemens Teamcenter on architecture and solutioning.
- Knowledge of Digital thread tools like Syndeia, etc or MBSE tools like Cameo is a plus
- Proven track record in architecting, implementing and managing large-scale Teamcenter PLM projects.
- Deep knowledge of Teamcenter architecture, modules include Active Workspace, Access Manager, Workflow designer, BOM, Classification, Change Management, Supplier Collaboration / Supplier Connect and Customization.
