Parsons is seeking a Principal Software Developer who has extensive experience with Navy or DoW software systems. In this role you will get to support a high visibility Navy Program.  


What You’ll be Doing: 

  • Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs 
  • Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis 
  • Update software or enhance existing software capabilities 
  • May work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements 
  • May maintain databases within an application area 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Must have a Top-Secret clearance with SCI and ability to pass a Counterintelligence polygraph 
  • Minimum of 10 years or more of professional experience in Software Development 
  • Master’s degree, or an authorized substitution for a bachelor’s degree plus four additional years of relevant experience.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative/distributed team environment 
  • Experience developing software using various programming languages and technologies.  
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and testing complex software applications.  
  • Experience with the software development life cycle.  
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.  
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • An active TS/SCI w/ CI Poly is preferred 
  • Experience with Cybersecurity best practices 
  • Experience supporting Navy programs, NAVWAR, NIWC Pacific, NIWC Atlantic 

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $148,300.00 - $266,900.00

This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days and will continue to be posted for an average of 30 days until a qualified applicant is selected or the position has been cancelled.
