Responsibilities include:
• Lead the development of advanced algorithms in robotics using the state-of-the-art techniques.
• Create sandbox simulations, deployable implementations, and evaluation frameworks for algorithm performance and robustness.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in machine learning and robotics from reputable groups.
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of full-time industry experience in robotics and/or machine learning.
• Proven track record of working with robotics and/or machine learning in production settings.
• Strong background in machine learning and robotics with experience in:
o Planning and control algorithms (e.g., A*, MPC).
o Optimization techniques (e.g., linear/nonlinear optimization).
o State estimation algorithms (e.g., EKF, Particle Filter).
o Robotics toolkits (e.g., ROS/ROS2, Gazebo, Isaac)
o Deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
o Reinforcement Learning and Imitation Learning.
• Software development for deployable machine learning systems.
• Familiarity with mapping techniques using LiDAR/ToF, mono/stereo vision (e.g., 2D/3D occupancy grid mapping, structure from motion).
• Preferred: Familiarity with foundation models and large language models.
