The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Lead quality strategy and day-to-day quality practice across a group of precision manufacturing sites. The role pairs ownership of formal quality systems with practical problem solving on the production floor, and requires frequent travel to work alongside site teams.
What you'll do
- Own and expand the quality management systems at several facilities, guiding them toward ISO 9001 and AS9100 certification and ongoing compliance.
- Spend time on-site at recently acquired shops to spot structural weaknesses, implement corrective measures and put durable quality processes in place.
- Investigate nonconforming parts, excess waste and low throughput by applying dimensional tolerancing, cause analysis and process knowledge.
- Run first article inspections, material review board decisions and structured corrective action reports.
- Act as the final point of contact when serious quality problems arise.
- Partner with software colleagues so that automated workflows and inspection records feed an internal platform and give live visibility into quality.
