Principal QA Automation Engineer

The Principal QA Automation Engineer for Stellus Rx will help our communities thrive as a key member of the Technology Team. This position will help our communities thrive by providing effective collaboration, facilitation, leadership, and coaching skills to support the agile development process and delivery of our software products. Role and Responsibilities:

•        A thorough understanding of the flow of code, how it interacts with different components, and how to implement thorough testing of it.

•        Understand and create project documents, understand customer demands, and product goals to be able create and execute the automation test cases.

•        Understanding stories of the applications being developed and directing the building of a suite of automation tests that evaluates the real-world scenarios envisioned.

•        Understand how to set up test automation frameworks on multiple application platforms, including Mobile, Desktop, and Web.

•        Understand the building of functional automation test scenarios, acceptance tests, regression tests and smoke tests.

•        Investigate user problems, test bugs, and create and manage bug reporting.

•        Manage technical communications and understanding the overall systems.

•        Work with deployment teams, resolve issues for systems, contribute to product design, contribute to the testability of functional elements, non-functional requirements, and product designs.

•        Develop and maintain status reporting on all testing activities performed including informative dashboards on all aspects of automation testing.

•        Research test tools, methodologies, and trends and upgrade existing practices and processes on an ongoing basis.

•        Be a steward for the final quality software releases.

•        Working with the Quality and DevOps Engineering leadership, define, drive and implement the Test Engineering architecture roadmap

•        Keep ahead of emerging trends in test engineering to make recommendations for adoption and deliver adjustments to the test engineering frameworks as required

•        Own supporting CI/CD from a test engineering perspective

•        Ownership of Automation Suites execution, results analysis and fixing.

•        Propose improvements and best practices for test script development.

•        Drive continuous improvement in the utilization of existing tools.

•        Must influence through strong communication skills, clear documentation, and building trust.

Qualifications and Requirements:

•        Minimum 4 years of experience managing teams of 3 or more members under agile methodology.

•        Minimum 3 years of experience with AI Automation Tools.

•        Minimum 3 years of experience with Atlassian products.

•        Demonstrated ability to mentor team members

•        Demonstrated ability to research new technologies and frameworks.

•        Demonstrated ability to create MCPs using Java, Visual Code, GitLab, Copilot and Atlassian Products

•        BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

•        6+ years’ experience of QA and testing/automating Mobile and Web applications

•        4+ years of Agile + DevOps experience

•        Exceptional understanding of automation frameworks and technologies

•        Good knowledge of SQL

•        Extensive Experience in ad hoc testing

•        Extensive Experience in Functional testing

•        Extensive Experience in creating an automation testing strategy

•        Expert level knowledge in automated test design.

•        Proficient Designing skills including Object-Oriented Design

•        Advanced knowledge of programming languages including Java, JavaScript, etc.

•        Strong knowledge of BDD principles

•        Advanced knowledge of API testing.

•        Participate in backlog refinement to help design test cases, checklists, and Test plans.

•        Solid exploratory testing skills and knowledge.

•        Self-organized.

•        Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills

•        Experience with Test Automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Robot Framework

•        Experience with Postman or similar API testing frameworks

•        Experience with AI or ML designed applications

•        Software development experience in Python, Java, or JavaScript

Preferred Experience:

•        Experience in any public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus

•        Experience in CI/CD pipelines is a plus

•        Understanding of software development: Web, Mobile, DB a plus

•        Healthcare Domain experience a plus

•        High level of English proficiency.
