Roblox is looking for Principal Program Manager to join our internal technology team and drive ground-breaking initiatives that empower our employees and improve our business operations. Reporting directly to the CIO, this role is pivotal in shaping our Corporate Engineering strategy and ensuring the successful delivery of critical programs, with a strong focus on collaboration with the internal Security organization.
You Will:
- Shape Internal Systems Engineering Strategy: Partner with the CIO to define and refine the vision, roadmap, and priorities for the Corporate Engineering pillar, focusing on integrating security considerations into every stage of the technology lifecycle.
- Drive Program Delivery: Lead a portfolio of sophisticated, cross-functional programs, ensuring successful execution within budget and timelines while adhering to stringent security standards.
- Handle Budget and Resources: Develop and handle budgets, and track financial performance against targets, including investments in consulting, infrastructure and tools.
- Develop Strong Partnerships: Collaborate closely with partners across the organization, building trust and alignment to achieve shared goals, with a particular emphasis on encouraging a positive relationship with the Security organization to ensure the secure delivery of internal technology products.
You have:
- 10+ years of experience in program management, ideally in a technology-driven environment with a focus on security considerations.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with a proven record to work optimally with IT teams.
- Experience handling budgets and resources.
- An understanding of internal tools and its application to business challenges, including an understanding of security risks and mitigation strategies.

- Data-Driven: You use data to make informed decisions, measure progress, and find opportunities for continuous improvement.
- An Outstanding Communicator: You articulate sophisticated ideas clearly and concisely, tailoring your communication style to different audiences and stakeholders, including technical and non-technical teams, to ensure alignment on security requirements and best practices.
- A Leader and Mentor: You encourage and empower others, providing mentorship and support to team members, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
Bonus Points:
- Experience in the gaming or entertainment industry.
- Familiarity with Roblox's platform and products.
- Agile certification or experience working in an Agile environment.
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

$241,470—$284,880 USD
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
