The Job at a Glance
Reporting up to the office of the CEO, you will help define and build new solutions at a fast-growing health-tech startup, with a specific focus on internal analytics and actionable insights across our client programs. This includes everything from product definition/visioning to gathering requirements, working through complex details, creating timelines, and delivering clarity from ambiguity. Developing alignment between internal stakeholders and external partners will be a regular occurrence to ensure the successful end-to-end deployment of new products.
What You’ll Do
Working within an organization created at the intersection of health care, retail, and financial technology, no two days will look the same. Typical responsibilities of this role will include:
- Design, build, and maintain an internal analytics solution to support operational improvements and inform ongoing solution development
- Conduct internal and external research to support solution definition
- Gain cross-functional alignment on solution development and deliverables
- Write user stories and define rough user interfaces to assist with development efforts
- Define requirements, scope, and acceptance criteria for features while operating within typical constraints (e.g., time, resources, etc.) with a focus on the end user
- Manage the solution lifecycle and backlog for various features based on customer needs and Soda Health’s strategic vision
- Serve as Soda Health’s subject matter expert (SME) in your area of ownership, and act as a key stakeholder for customer feedback, stakeholder questions and system troubleshooting
- Collaborate with Engineering teams during sprints to deliver solutions in an Agile manner
- Participate and sometimes lead solution rollout tasks, assisting with relevant testing and analytics functions
- Oversee communication with internal stakeholders, external partners and customers to ensure alignment on expectations, process, and timelines
About You
While every candidate brings a unique resume and prospective, an ideal candidate will include:
- 3-5 years of experience in software product positions in a technology, healthcare, retail, and/or fintech setting; B2B2C SaaS experience is a plus; must be able to work independently
- Experience with relevant Knowledge Discovery in Data (KDD) tools, applications, or scripting languages such as SQL, MS Excel, and Looker Studio. Experience with Google Big Query and Google Cloud Platforms is a plus
- Must be able to make progress independently, including getting up to speed quickly, developing ideas, and creating clarity from ambiguity
- Strong problem-solving skills to overcome the challenges that come with creating something net new
- Experience in product and/or business analytics roles with familiarity using project management tools (e.g., Jira); prior experience in start-ups and/or rapidly scaling organizations is a plus
- Demonstrated success working cross-functionally to deliver results on-time and on-budget with delightful user experiences
- Strong communicator and relationship cultivator who can successfully influence various audiences including engineers, internal stakeholder, customers, and external partners
- Commitment to building a diverse culture that is highly collaborative, strives to set and achieve goals together, and embraces transparency, innovation, and accountability
- A clear passion for, if not experience in, addressing health inequities
- Ability and willingness to work in a combination of remote work and intermittent travel for in-person collaboration
Other Requirements
- Travel may be required from time to time as part of the role, for company events and business needs.
- Soda Health is a remote-first, distributed workforce. Candidates should be comfortable with, and equipped to work within, a distributed remote team, including having reliable internet access and basic home office equipment. Soda Health will provide a work laptop, and mouse/keyboard upon request.
