The Opportunity 

 

The Adobe Unified Platform (AUP) team links millions of individuals to Adobe daily. We are developing advanced identity experiences that ensure Adobe product access is straightforward, safe, and tailored. 

 

As a Principal Product Manager in Bucharest, you’ll compose the roadmap for how customers sign up, sign in, and stay connected to Adobe. You’ll collaborate closely with the design, engineering, and analytics teams to bring insights to life, experiment with new concepts, and deliver scalable solutions worldwide. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

Customer Discovery & Insights 

  • Engage deeply with customers, solution teams and cross-functional partners to uncover friction points in the user account lifecycle—from sign-up and login to recovery, consent, and deactivation. 

  • Translate customer insights and business needs into clear problem statements and prioritized opportunities. 

 

Data-Driven Decision Making 

  • Define measurable success metrics and establish hypotheses to test and validate through experimentation, funnel analysis and post-launch performance dashboards. 

  • Partner with data science and analytics teams to ensure instrumentation and dashboards provide actionable insights for optimization. 

 

Identity Platform Ownership 

  • Own and evolve platform capabilities across authentication, MFA, authorization, device trust, and session assurance. 

  • Ensure compliance with leading standards such as FIDO2, OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, and frameworks like NIST SP 800-63B. 

  • Balance usability, performance and risk reduction to deliver scalable and secure experiences. 

 

Product Strategy & Execution 

  • Develop and implement the plan for Identity services that support effortless access and trust among B2C, B2B, and Education audiences. 

  • Prioritize features that deliver measurable impact on user engagement, retention and overall platform health. 

  • Partner with global PM, compose, analytics and engineering teams to bring the roadmap to life through iterative development and agile practices. 

 

Market & Industry Awareness 

  • Keep up to date with industry trends in Identity management, risk-based authentication, device intelligence, and personalized AI. 

  • Bring external insights and benchmarks to influence product direction and innovation. 

 

About You 

  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in large-scale consumer or platform environments. 

  • Proven success delivering Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions, with experience in authentication, MFA, or account lifecycle management. 

  • Demonstrated strong analytical approach in defining, measuring, and acting on critical metrics and product hypotheses. 

  • Deep dedication to customer discovery and translating insights into meaningful product decisions. 

  • Excellent communicator who can tailor narratives for executives, engineers, designers, and customers alike. 

  • Skilled at influencing cross-functional teams without formal authority, excelling in globally distributed environments. 

  • Technical competence and experience with identity standards and protocols like OAuth2, OIDC, FIDO2, and SAML. 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related team is preferred, or equivalent experience.
