Principal Product Designer

We are looking for a Principal Product Designer for our core experience.

You will be the highest level individual contributor responsible for driving design excellence, shaping strategy, and delivering high-impact work across complex product areas. As a Principal Product Designer, you’ll work closely with cross-functional partners to define the vision, connect experiences across the product ecosystem, and elevate quality through deep craft and strategic thinking. You’ll be a trusted thought partner, mentoring others and championing design as a key lever for customer and business impact.

• Transform ambiguity into clarity, leveraging your expertise and design process to establish structure. You proactively plan, anticipate challenges, and envision the next steps, even when they’re not immediately clear.
• Lead by example, setting a high bar for design quality, driving innovation, and cultivating a culture of curiosity, urgency, and continuous improvement.
• Think strategically, framing designs within the broader customer experience, while also being adept at diving into detailed execution.
• Share work with clarity and purpose by gathering feedback from stakeholders, facilitating alignment, and representing the user’s perspective in executive reviews.
• Collaborate across teams, ensuring a cohesive and consistent experiences, acting as a bridge between product areas and influencing the holistic user experience.

• 10+ years of experience in Product Design, with a strong track record of delivering impactful, customer-facing experiences across native iOS and Android platforms
• Proven ability to lead complex design initiatives as a senior IC, influencing cross-functional strategy and product direction
• Experience working on high-velocity teams and shipping solutions that drive measurable business and user value
• Strong design systems and end-to-end product thinking, balancing iterative improvements with larger experiences
• A bias toward action, experimentation, and learning from outcomes, both wins and failures
• Comfortable using both qualitative and quantitative insights to inform design decisions and evaluate success
• Excellent communication skills with the able to clearly articulate rationale, vision, and tradeoffs to designers, engineers, and executives

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at MyFitnessPal ranges from $150,000 - $230,000. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
