ABOUT US
Guild is the control plane for AI agents - a platform to build, deploy, govern, and share agents in production. As AI moves from experimentation to real systems, we're building the infrastructure layer that makes it safe, observable, and scalable.
THE ROLE
We're looking for a Principal Product Designer who's ready to roll up their sleeves and do some of the most interesting design work in AI infrastructure right now. Guild's design team is small, flat, and full-stack - everyone ships, and everyone has real ownership over the quality of what we build. You'll work across product surfaces alongside engineers, researchers, and founders, moving fast from problem to solution without losing sight of craft. Design and product work as one team here - setting priorities together, moving in the same direction. But there's real autonomy in how you get there. You'll be expected to make calls, ship, and learn without needing sign-off at every step.
In this role you'll bring an AI-native workflow to everything you touch - using AI to think faster, prototype quicker, and push quality higher. We're building an AI product, and we expect our design practice to reflect that - experimenting with new tools, pushing what's possible, and helping define what AI-native design looks like at a company like Guild. Low ego, high craft. That's the team you'd be joining.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
– Bring a strong, opinionated perspective on how the product should serve our users and where it should go - actively shaping product direction, roadmap priorities, and PMF decisions alongside product and engineering, not just executing on them
– Design across the full product experience for two distinct but connected audiences enterprise buyers who need clarity and confidence to adopt, and developers and technical users who demand precision, depth, and tools that respect their workflow
– Own problems end-to-end within your product team, from early discovery and problem framing through prototyping, validation, and shipping production-quality solutions
– Translate complex AI infrastructure concepts - agents, observability, governance, deployment - into experiences that feel intuitive and trustworthy regardless of the user's technical depth
– Contribute to the design system by raising the quality bar on shared components, patterns, and interaction standards - thinking in systems, not one-offs
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
– 8+ years of product design experience with a portfolio demonstrating strong craft, systems thinking, and the ability to simplify genuinely complex workflows
– Already working in an AI-native way - AI tools are embedded in your process, not just something you're starting to explore
– Experience building AI-powered design solutions or designing for AI-driven products
– Fluent across web and mobile design with a strong design process and foundation - Figma, prototyping tools, and whatever else gets the idea across fastest. Design-led first, technical second
– Technically fluent in complex product spaces - comfortable with front-end constraints, and has hands-on coding experience, whether production code or vibe coding to get ideas across
– Low ego, high craft - you care about the work and you're energized by collaboration
BONUS
– Experience in AI infrastructure, developer tools, or enterprise SaaS
– Familiarity with agent-based systems, observability tooling, or deployment workflows
– Experience at a category-defining company in an emerging space
– Background at an early-stage company navigating PMF - comfortable with ambiguity, fast pivots, and a bias toward shipping and learning
WHY GUILD
– Work on genuinely hard design problems at the frontier of AI infrastructure
– Flat team, high ownership — your work ships and people notice
– Direct access to founders and real influence on how the product evolves
– Fast pace, real problems, and a team that takes craft seriously

What We Do
Guild turns agents into shared production infrastructure, with a managed software center for trusted agent capabilities, and an agent hub for discovering and sharing agents. For Enterprises. AI, Trusted in Production Autonomous software requires the same guardrails as any production system. Guild enforces centralized identity, least-privilege access, and immutable audit logging so enterprise governance extends to AI agents. Agents can act on code, tickets, and operational workflows without bypassing identity controls or becoming a black box. For Developers. AI, Built Like Real Software Guild gives developers the primitives they expect: typed interfaces, versioned releases, safe execution boundaries, and full execution traces, so agents behave like systems, not scripts. The Agent Hub is a public GitHub-like platform for broad discovery and reuse of agents, allowing developers to build agents like real software and ship them as products. One Platform. Any Model Universal by design. Guild is neutral toward models, vendors, and frameworks, doesn’t lock governance into a single stack, and works with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and open-source models. Companies can run agents via chat, APIs, webhooks, and schedules, as well as publish trusted capabilities to version, reuse, and improve - so teams don't start from zero. Access can be controlled centrally, and usage tracked by workspace, user, agent, and trigger.
