Position Overview:
We are seeking a Principal Platform Engineer with deep experience of Azure infrastructure patterns, hands on infrastructure as code (IaC), continuous integration, software and data platform integration. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of working with others to build and distribute cloud platforms as repeatable products.
You will play a key role in the designing, building, deploying and maturing secure, scalable and resilient cloud platforms and services to support the wider organization and customer facing teams.
This role offers a unique opportunity to develop and support mission-driven systems architecture and collaborate with global multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the pipeline and delivery of Atreides Mission Platform Products.
- Maintain high levels of security accreditation over Atreides Mission Platform Products.
- Collaboratively design and build secure, cost effective and repeatable Azure platforms for development, training and demonstration purposes.
- Actively suggest and promote improvements to product and platform.
- Work with customer facing teams to mature platforms and software built by Atreides for customers and partners.
- Manage secure packaging and delivery of platforms and software into customer Azure tenants.
- Create repeatable IaC and CICD patterns that can be reused by other teams.
- Proactively assist the platform needs of other teams ensuring common use of Azure.
- Mentor others and document best practices in Azure.
Required Expertise:
- Excellent Azure experience covering a wide range of Azure Resource Types and Architecture Patterns including but not limited; Zero Trust, first party services, data management, security, marketplace offerings and multi geo.
- Demonstrable experience designing and delivering Azure platforms designed for collaboration and software hosting environments.
- Highly proficient with Azure CICD practices and IaC tooling including GitHub, ADO, Bicep, Terraform, Az CLI and PowerShell.
- Extensive experience managing backlogs, building roadmaps and supporting production platforms.
- Proficient with git and experienced reviewing code changes.
- Ability to work within small teams while collaborating with larger teams and external partners.
- Comfortable with remote working and working within a team across time zones.
- Previous experience mentoring others.
