About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Principal to join our Place Based team, playing a pivotal role in WA, enabling and driving positive transformations within communities.

Reporting to the Head of Place, you will work alongside strategic partners in developing strategies, managing projects, and collaborating with stakeholders to influence change and create opportunities to uplift child and community wellbeing.

Your day to day will include:
• Gathering information from a variety of sources to offer new ideas and different viewpoints that may impact business units, leading to best practice approaches.
• Collaborating with key stakeholders (community organisations, government bodies, NFP organisations, and industry partners) to identify opportunities, leverage resources and foster effective partnerships.
• Contributing to the development of programs and initiatives focused on Place based Community Empowerment, overseeing the allocation of resources and funding to ensure programs meet community needs and positively impact our beneficiaries.
• Mapping and analysis of target community’s ecosystem to identify leverage points and intervention opportunities for promoting positive change.

Qualifications

About You
The role is best suited to a collaborative, positive and responsive individual who can navigate cultural sensitivities and challenges associated with place-based community empowerment. In addition, the successful person will also have experience in the facilitation of partnership development and management and an established network within the broader Perth and outer rural regions of Western Australia.

First Nations candidates who have knowledge and understanding of working in and with First Nations people and their communities are preferred.

In terms of your background, you will ideally have:
• Qualifications and/or equal experience in community engagement, social work, or community development.
• Experience leading and improving community outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder, program, and project management skills with the ability to converse to communicate well verbally and in writing to a range of audiences.
• Knowledge of place-based strategies, and social equity principles, developing and delivering place-based approaches.
