Principal ML Ops Engineer

Sift Healthcare is seeking a skilled ML Ops Engineer to join our growing data science team. This role will focus on deploying, optimizing, and monitoring machine learning and Generative AI models in production environments. It requires a blend of engineering expertise and an understanding of machine learning principles. You will collaborate closely with GenAI Developers, Data Scientists, and Engineers to ensure our machine learning and GenAI infrastructure is robust and scalable.

Experience working with PII/PHI/HIPAA data is required. Experience working with healthcare data is also required. A Wisconsin resident is preferred for this role, but remote candidates will be considered.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implement robust ML Ops infrastructure that supports efficient and scalable deployment of machine learning models in production. Experience with GenAI infrastructure is a plus.
• Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines for model serving.
• Develop and maintain monitoring systems to track model performance.
• Implement and utilize containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Dagster.
• Partner with Data Scientists, GenAI Developers, and Engineers to ensure models are production ready.
• Champion best practices in ML Ops and assist Data Scientists in code review and code quality.
• Stay current on the latest advancements in ML Ops and lead efforts to integrate new technologies into our platform.
• Provide technical guidance to other members of the ML Ops and Data Science team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience as an ML Ops Engineer or Data Scientist, with a focus on deploying and managing machine learning infrastructure and models in production.
• Expertise with infrastructure-as-code frameworks. Terraform experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). AWS, Docker, and Dagster experience preferred.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and dashboards for tracking model performance.
• Experience with healthcare data. Experience with revenue cycle and payments data is preferred.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong leadership experience and the ability to mentor a team
