The opportunity
The Principal Logistics Support Analysis Specialist is a member of the Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) Battlespace Communications Systems (BCS) Franchise. In this role you will work within the Product Support team to design, develop and maintain Support System solutions for BCS programs. In this role you will gain exposure and be and active contributor to BCS's new business pursuits.
Responsibilities
The Principal Logistics Support Analysis Specialist provides subject matter expertise to Project Managers and Team Leads for all aspects of product support from acquisition through disposal. They will also provide expertise in estimating and developing product support design and optimisation opportunities.
Responsibilities will include acting as a subject matter expert in the following:
  • Plan, document, initiate, populate and deliver Logistic Support Analysis Record (LSAR) databases from diverse source data while maintaining compliance with contracts and established standards.
  • Plan, document, and implement strategies, procedures, and instructions to develop, deliver, and sustain LSAR databases, including their integration with other Integrated Product Support deliverables.
  • Support process development and coordination of activities to ensure technical data and procedures are documented, current and compliant to relevant procedures and standards.
  • Draft and provide formal review of engineering change documents to plan and implement associated changes to product support deliverables.
  • Lead Integrated Product Support development activities including Candidate Item selection; Level of Repair Analysis; Failure Mode Effect and Criticality Analysis; Reliability Centred Maintenance Analysis; Maintenance and/or Operator Task Analysis.
  • Provide input to Defence Materiel codification.
  • Support the mentoring, coaching, and training of Integrated Product Support team members.

Desirable Experience/Qualifications
To be successful you will have:
  • Minimum of 10 years' demonstrated experience in complex Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) or Integrated Product Support (IPS) environments.
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining LSAR databases for complex Defence programs.
  • Formal qualification or demonstrated experience in delivering successful logistics/support systems analysis for major Defence acquisition programs.
  • Experience working with Integrated Logistics Support standards for example, MIL-STD-1388, DEF (AUST) 5691/5692, GEIA- STD-0007C Logistics Product Data.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with high accuracy, manage competing priorities, and adapt to dynamic technical requirements.
  • Eligibility for an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Defence Security Clearance
