Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal Environmental Engineer to join our team!
In this role, you will work as part of a team of experts, supporting various environmental projects, that includes soil, sediment and groundwater remediation, from initial investigations through construction and site closeouts.
What you'll be doing:
- Technically focused role, providing leadership on geotechnical, civil and other complex environmental projects
- May function as discipline Project Engineer on medium to large projects, assuming responsibility for the work of the group
- May plan, direct, and supervise the work of a major engineering unit on projects requiring a largescale expenditure of manpower and financial investment
- Leads other Engineers and design personnel on environmental projects
- Ensures compliance of design with all applicable codes and regulations, providing the seal and signature of the professional engineer when required by statute or contract.
- Has experience with Landfill Design
- Has construction experience
- Prepares detailed material/equipment specifications; reviews supplier data; witnesses shop tests, assists with assessing supplier manufacturing capabilities.
- Develops operation and maintenance plans; develops standard operating procedures; prepares O & M manuals and may conduct onsite training of personnel.
- Conducts surveys, studies, and site investigations. Performs reliability, availability, maintenance (RAM) and safety analyses.
- Completes geotechnical and civil evaluations
- Maintains affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies.
- Helps determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule. May assist with other administrative and technical duties.
- Recommends, prepares and presents technical papers and reports. May review and assist in compiling technical reports and documents prepared by others
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 15+ years of related work experience. Master's degree in Engineering strongly preferred. Environmental focus is required
- Professional Engineer registration is strongly preferred.
- Potential to perform in a lead capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a familiarity of industry practices and regulations are required
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on project

Salary Range:
$96,400.00 - $168,700.00
