Senior Supply Chain SAP Analyst

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
 

As a Senior IT SAP Analyst for Supply Chain, this individual will play a key role in advancing feature/functionality in the SAP Sales & Distribution, Supply Chain / Logistics, Sourcing & Procurement and Planning/Manufacturing areas. This role must possess the capability to analyze business and technical requirements; develop solutions to address the requirements; and provide subject matter expertise to end users to improve business processes and fully utilize SAP functionality. Primary skill sets – SD (Sales & Distribution), LE (Logistics Execution) including Handling Unit / Serial Number processes & Available to Promise (ATP) and Secondary skill set – Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and Procurement / Inventory Management (MM). The individual needs a strong knowledge of business processes cross-functionally in the High-Tech industry in addition to the deep understanding of the SAP ecosystem. The role will be based out of Bangalore, India (remote a possibility for the right candidate). The role may involve travel to other Infinera locations as needed.


 

  • Strong understanding of Quote-to-Cash (QTC) / Order to Cash (OTC) including Supply Chain/Logistics process flow
  • Support business teams with product backlog grooming, story sizing and then be responsible for the project till go-live
  • Lead design presentation sessions with cross-functional IT and business audience
  • Participate in project execution following Infinera’s project life cycle methodology including design, test and go live activities
  • Prioritize own work and as appropriate lead project tracks
  • Propose conceptual and detailed designs to support the business needs, produce functional and technical specifications
  • Work with end users in defining the as-is current process, suggest to-be future process, identify gaps and develop/deploy solutions
  • Develop training materials and train end users as necessary
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers and subject matter experts
  • Ability to handle multiple issues/tasks simultaneously
  • Be a thought leader for leveraging SAP to solve business and IT problems including process automation, improving efficiencies and reducing costs
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system processes and configurations.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Utilize JIRA for backlog grooming, sprint planning, and overall task management.

Minimum Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • 15+ Years of Hands-On functional SAP SD experience
  • 3+ full cycle Order to Cash implementations with one being on S/4 HANA
  • Configuration Expertise in the Quote-to-Cash (QTC)/Order to Cash (OTC) areas of SAP SD Order Management process including Inquiry, Quotation, Standard orders, Rush Orders, Contracts, debit/credit memos, invoice correction requests, configuration of item categories and schedule categories, Data Conversions, Shipping, Handing Unit, Serial number profile, Billing, Output, Copy Controls, Partner Determination, Text Determination, Output Determination, Credit Management, Availability check (ATP) /Transfer of Requirements (TOR), Consignment Sales Process, Billing, Inter Company Sales and Stock Transport Orders
  • Should have a good functional/configuration knowledge on the following Integration areas:
    • Material Requirement Planning (MRP) including ATP/Transfer of Requirements and Material Management (MM) Procurement/Inventory integrations,
    • Global Trade Services (GTS) / Global Trade Management (GTM)
    • Country specific solutions – Brazil localization and e-Invoicing
  • Demonstrable experience with EDI and associated IDOC processes (ORDERS, ORDSP, DESADV, INVOIC etc.); worked with EDIFACT, ANSI X12 and XML messages; developed the mapping specs for transactions like 850-PO’s, 855-PO acknowledgement, 856-Shipping Notification, 860-PO Change Buyer, 865- PO Change Seller, 810-Invoice
  • Able to build and review detailed functional & technical documents for new or improvements to various type of SAP R/3 system components consisting but not limited to: Database, Reports, Function modules, Transactions, Interfaces, Output processing
  • Knowledge in designing user exits and working with development team to implement them
  • Knowledge and usage of different methodologies like Agile, SAP ASAP and hybrid models
  • Proven track record of leading complex SAP projects and initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in using JIRA for backlog grooming, sprint planning, and task management.
  • Demonstrable experience with integrating SAP ECC with other SAP applications and third-party cloud applications (e.g., SFDC, Ariba, Agile, Kinaxis).
  • Strong understanding of data migration and data management.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite


Education Required:
MS/BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience working or interfacing with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Oracle Agile PLM, Kinaxis, etc.
  • High-Tech industry experience
  • Experience with Offshore-Onsite resourcing model
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management.
  • Experience with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) and SAP Fiori.
