This role is a senior technical leader who will influence our technology strategy, modernize mission‑critical systems, and ensure our platforms meet the highest standards of performance, security, and reliability. The ideal candidate brings a combination of deep engineering expertise, strong asset management/finance domain knowledge, and the ability to lead technical direction across multiple teams.

Responsibilities of the Role:

Architecture & Technical Strategy

• Lead architectural vision and long-term technical strategy for enterprise financial systems.

• Design scalable, distributed, cloud-native platforms supporting trading, investment, risk, and analytics workloads.

• Establish technical standards, best practices, and architectural patterns across engineering teams.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and drive adoption where they add business value.

Engineering Execution

• Build and deliver high-performance services with strong focus on reliability, security, and scalability.

• Guide engineering teams through complex problem-solving, performance tuning, and modernization efforts.

• Oversee design reviews, code quality, and system reliability engineering practices.

• Drive cloud adoption, microservices, API-first architecture, and automation across CI/CD pipelines.

Domain Expertise in Financial Systems

• Translate financial business needs into scalable, compliant technical solutions.

• Architect systems for credit analyst workflows, market data ingestion, and reporting.

• Ensure platform design adheres to industry regulations (e.g., SOX, SEC, FINRA, PCI, privacy standards).

Leadership & Collaboration

• Serve as a senior technical authority partnering with product, business, architecture, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams.

• Mentor senior engineers, fostering an engineering culture focused on excellence and continuous improvement.

• Lead technical deep dives, architecture councils, and executive-level technical communication.

Operational Excellence

• Ensure platforms achieve high availability, low latency, disaster recovery readiness, and strong observability.

• Lead incident analysis, root‑cause identification, and systemic improvements. • Promote DevOps, SRE principles, and end-to-end platform resilience.

Requirements of the Role:

• 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including 3+ years in a principal/staff-level role.

• Expertise building distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native applications.

• Strong proficiency in one or more languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, Go).

• Solid understanding of financial systems, products, and data flows, with experience of credit markets a plus.

• Experience with public cloud (AWS is a plus).

• Experience with Windows client-server applications.

• Experience with Everest (Allvue Front Office) is a strong plus.

• Experience with Snowflake is a plus.

• 3+ years ReactJS experience.

• 5+ years' experience in SQL Server/RDBMS.

• Demonstrated ability to lead architecture for large-scale, mission-critical systems.

• Fixed Income knowledge is a plus.

• Strong communication skills and ability to influence across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
