About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Principal Engineer to lead the technical evolution and modernization of our software applications and digital platforms. Operating at the core of technical strategy, platform architecture, and software craftsmanship, you will be responsible for building scalable, reliable, and high-performing solutions that drive real business growth and transform client outcomes.
This is a high-impact, hands-on engineering and architecture leadership role. You will move fluidly between writing code, designing long-term architecture strategies, establishing modern software standards, and empowering engineering teams across the organization. Your success will be measured by standardizing best practices, accelerating productivity, and advancing technical maturity across our global digital ecosystem.
What You Will Do
• Architecture Strategy & Technical LeadershipDrive and evangelize architecture for both new innovative solutions and legacy enterprise platforms, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals.
• Lead the creation of architecture strategies, frameworks, and governance processes to ensure sound technical investments.
• Act as a hands-on lead, writing code to stand up core architecture components and driving their adoption across engineering teams.
• Provide thought leadership and guidance on technical feasibility, tech stack selection, and modern implementation approaches.
• Engineering Excellence & StandardizationAccelerate the adoption of modern software engineering principles, guidelines, re-usable libraries, and frameworks firm-wide.
• Standardize and streamline engineering workflows, processes, and tools to maximize delivery efficiency, collaboration, and scalability.
• Embed DevSecOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) into everyday development practices.
• Partner with product owners and business stakeholders to bring transparency to engineering costs and help establish Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Mentorship & Guild AdvancementElevate technical maturity across the organization by leading internal engineering communities and guilds.
• Mentor engineers and tech leads, fostering a culture of continuous learning, technical rigor, and innovation.
• Design and identify technical training programs and growth opportunities for team members at all levels.
What You Bring (Required Skills & Experience)
• Experience: 10+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Architect, or in a similar technical leadership role.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on Architecture: Proven track record of designing multi-tier architectures and writing hands-on code to bootstrap frameworks and drive adoption.
• DevSecOps & Cloud: Solid experience with DevSecOps principles, deployment automation, modern CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
• Leadership & Influence: Strong engineering leadership skills with a proven ability to inspire, motivate, and guide cross-functional technical teams.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex architectural decisions to both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Agile & Delivery: Strong project management foundation using Agile methodologies and modern delivery tools.
• Workplace Flexibility: Willingness to work in a hybrid environment (office/remote) with flexibility to support unique project needs and cross-time-zone collaboration as required.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience developing software within business consulting, advisory, or enterprise SaaS environments.
• Active contributions to open-source software projects or technical communities.
• Demonstrated passion for mentoring, uplifting junior team members, and building developer communities.
• Track record of building alignment across matrixed and cross-functional teams.
