Summary Generated by Built In

Join our global team and play a pivotal role in architecting the engine that drives our revenue. As a Salesforce Sales Cloud Principal Engineer, you will design and deliver the architectural vision for our Salesforce Sales Cloud implementation, ensuring it effectively supports our complex sales ecosystem—from lead generation to deal closure.

This is a senior individual contributor role that requires a unique blend of strategic architectural insight and deep, recent hands-on technical expertise. You will be the technical authority for our Sales Cloud environment, collaborating closely with sales leadership and cross-functional teams to build a scalable, high-performance platform that empowers our sales organization, partners, and distributors.

As a hybrid role, you will work from our Chennai or Bangalore office at least three days a week, providing the perfect balance of in-person strategic collaboration and focused remote work. Your contributions will be central to our evolution as a software-driven organization, driving efficiency and transparency across our global sales pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership: Lead the end-to-end architecture and design of Salesforce Sales Cloud, establishing the foundation for scalable, high-performance solutions that support global sales processes.

  • Sales Lifecycle Management: Design and optimize workflows for Leads, Opportunities, and Deal Closures, ensuring data integrity and process efficiency.

  • Partner & Distributor Success: Architect robust relationship management modules tailored for partners and distributors, facilitating seamless collaboration and reporting.

  • Revenue Operations Support: Build and maintain sophisticated Quote and Pricing modules (including CPQ elements) to ensure accuracy in deal structures and financial reporting.

  • Hands-on Development: Act as a senior individual contributor, creating proof-of-concepts, reference implementations, and solving the most complex technical challenges within the Apex and LWC frameworks.

  • Integration: Design and manage integrations between Salesforce and third-party applications (ERP, Marketing Automation, etc.) using best practices to ensure maintainability and data consistency.

  • Performance & Analytics: Drive standards to measure and track sales performance metrics. Optimize application responsiveness and ensure the platform provides actionable insights for sales leadership.

  • Mentorship: Share architectural designs and justify decisions with technical leaders. Set the "gold standard" for the engineering team by establishing coding standards, testing protocols, and deployment best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 12 + years of Salesforce development experience, with a heavy emphasis on Sales Cloud implementation for large-scale, global organizations.

  • Recent Hands-on Expertise: Proven experience in a recent role designing and developing using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and advanced Flow orchestration.

  • Sales Ecosystem Knowledge: Deep understanding of Lead-to-Cash processes, Opportunity management, and complex pricing/quoting logic.

  • Integration Mastery: Proficiency in designing REST/SOAP APIs and using middleware/integration tools to connect Salesforce with external business systems.

  • Agile Environment: Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced Agile environment with frequent releases and evolving business requirements.

  • Self-Starter: Proactive and resourceful, with a strong "get-things-done" attitude and the ability to navigate complex corporate structures.

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent technical degree.

  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to translate complex technical architectural concepts into clear business value for stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Certifications: Certified Application Architect or System Architect.

  • Experience Cloud: Knowledge of implementing Partner Communities for distributor relationship management.

  • CPQ Knowledge: Experience with Salesforce CPQ or similar advanced quoting engines.

  • DevOps: Familiarity with Salesforce DX, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
