About the Role
In this role, you will be a key contributor for driving implementation of Reliability mindset and best practices across our Automotive Division in China.
You will work in a global environment ensure our Product Reliability strategy and Automotive graded mindset is successfully achieved by using your expertise, training/coaching skills and strong multilevel communication capability.
You will report to the Director of the team for “Global Innovative Concept product reliability”.
What You Will Do
- Drive the creation of Product Reliability best practices
- Drive establishment of new reliability methods and tools supporting the Product Reliability strategy
- Ensure alignment and acceptance of Product Reliability roadmap and implementation planning with key stakeholders and Senior Management across all SBUs
- Lead the implementation of Product Reliability best practices, methods and tools
- Monitor and report the status of implementation planning to Senior Management
- Use your expertise to guide and train projects in test to failure, highly accelerated life testing (HALT) and use of simulations
- Lead creation and tracking of reliability growth models and escalate issues to key global stakeholders
- Drive training, implementation and coaching in the program use of product usage profiles, as application of Design for Reliability methods and tools
- Fostering the mindset required for the automotive sector in China
What You Need to Be Successful
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other science related degree
- 10+ years of experience in Engineering / Reliability / Quality field
- Effective communicator at all levels incl. senior leadership within organization
- Certified Reliability Engineer would be a plus
- High degree of initiative, responsibility taking and excellent interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English and Chinese (written & verbal)
- Background in design or testing of Automotive ECU’s as well as experience in training and coaching global development teams and a structured failure analysis / problem solving experience would be a plus
Bonus Points if You Have
- Experience in the manufacturing sector, design for manufacturing, especially in the electronics or automotive sector
- Experience in Six Sigma (Green Belt), data science, simulation and/or machine learning and artificial intelligence applications
