We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principle Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical design and assembly process development for our next-generation 2.4T optical transceiver modules. The successful candidate will play a key role in translating system requirements into robust mechanical solutions that ensure superior performance, manufacturability, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the mechanical design of 2.4T optical modules, including housing, heat dissipation, optics alignment structures, and PCB integration.
Develop and optimize assembly processes for high-volume manufacturing, covering precision alignment, bonding, soldering, and sealing.
Conduct mechanical tolerance analysis, thermal analysis, and reliability assessment to ensure design robustness.
Work closely with electrical, optical, and manufacturing teams to ensure cross-functional design compatibility and smooth product ramp-up.
Collaborate with suppliers and CM partners to define mechanical specifications, tooling, and assembly fixtures.
Support design reviews, failure analysis, and continuous improvement of product yield and manufacturability.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
3+ years of experience in mechanical design and process development for optical, communication, or precision electronic products.
Proficient in 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks) and GD&T.
Strong understanding of thermal design, tolerance stack-up, and high-precision assembly.
Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
