Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our Innovation Programs Group at Centric Software. This role involves driving innovation, identifying gaps in our product line, and creating rapid prototypes to enhance our offerings. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and has a passion for leveraging Generative AI to drive technological advancements.
Key Responsibilities:
 

• Architecture Development: Design and implement scalable, high-performance architecture for innovative solutions.
• Technical Leadership: Collaborate with senior leadership to align technical strategies with business goals.
• Prototyping: Utilize Generative AI to develop rapid prototypes and iterate based on feedback.
• Full Stack Development: Utilize Python, Node.js, Java, Django, FastAPI, NestJs, Spring Boot for backend development, and React, Tailwawsind, StoryBook, MobX, and Axios for UI.
• Product Evolution: Transition prototypes to production, scale to the first customers, and refine configurations for broader adoption.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time.
• Innovation: Continuously explore and integrate new technologies to enhance product offerings.
• Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation and technical specifications.
• Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior engineers.
• Deployment: Use Docker, AWS, and Azure for deploying solutions.

Generative AI Expertise:
 

• • Prototype Delivery: Utilize generative AI tools to expedite the development and delivery of prototypes, ensuring rapid iteration and feedback cycles.
  • High-Quality Code: Apply generative AI techniques to produce high-quality code, enhancing efficiency and maintainability.
  • Test Data and Documentation: Generate comprehensive test data and documentation using AI, streamlining the development and testing processes.
  • Innovation in New Domains: Leverage generative AI to explore and innovate in new technological domains, expanding the capabilities and reach of our product offerings.

Technical Stack:
 

• Backend Development: Python, Django, FastAPI, Node.js, Java, Spring Boot, Postgres, ORMs.
• Frontend Development: React, Tailwind, StoryBook, MobX, Axios.
• Deployment: Docker, AWS, Azure for deploying solutions.
• Data Science: Understanding of RAG, vector embeddings, and vector databases is a plus.
• AI/ML: Exposure to Stable Diffusion, LLMs, and LLM agents is an added plus.
• UX Design: Ability to design presentable UI from scratch without a UX designer for early-stage prototypes.
• Data Set Generation: Ability to generate good synthetic data for impressive and meaningful prototype demos, going hand in hand with UX design ability.
• Presentation Skills: Must be good at presentation and storytelling

Minimum Qualifications:
 

• • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 16+ years of experience in enterprise systems development.
  • Proven track record of taking projects from concept to launch.
  • Proficiency in Python, Node.js, Java, and modern programming languages.
  • Experience with AI/ML mechanisms and event-driven architectures.
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
 

• • Expertise in cloud-native application development.
  • Experience with machine learning or artificial intelligence solutions.
  • Knowledge of RAG, vector embeddings, and vector databases.
