Principal Engineer in DevOps 

Overview: We are looking for a talented Principal Engineer specializing in DevOps to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in CI/CD pipelines, containerization, cloud platforms, and development languages. This role requires exceptional problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to architect and implement robust DevOps solutions. 

Responsibilities: 

Technical Leadership: 

Architect, design, and implement CI/CD pipelines in a distributed environment using tools such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, Artifactory, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Docker registry, etc. (Expertise in Harness is a plus). 

Problem Solving and Collaboration: 

Analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. 

Containerization and Orchestration: 

Implement and manage containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes. 

Cloud Platforms: 

Utilize micro-services architecture and work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP to deploy scalable applications. 

Development Expertise: 

Demonstrate expertise in one or more development languages like Java, Python, JavaScript. 

Database Skills: 

Perform data mining and querying against relational and non-relational databases to support DevOps workflows. 

Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering is a plus. 

Proven experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines in a distributed environment. 

Strong proficiency with tools such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, Artifactory, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Docker registry, etc. (Experience with Harness is advantageous). 

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze and resolve complex issues. 

Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes). 

Experience with micro-services architecture and deployment on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). 

Proficiency in one or more development languages (Java, Python, JavaScript). 

Familiarity with data mining and querying against databases. 

Strong communication and collaboration skills. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Computer Science or Engineering. 

Industry certifications related to DevOps and cloud platforms. 

Previous experience in a senior or leadership role within DevOps.
