Responsibilities:
Carry out design review of C&S and geotechnical design and analysis for coastal structures such as quay wall, port, jetty, revetment, and land reclamation etc. for local and/or oversea projects.
Assist the Project Lead / Project Manager to carry out:
- Review on plan for Site investigation and result interpretation,
- Review on C&S design and analysis for coastal structures such as quay wall, port, jetty, revetment, and land reclamation (i.e: deep and shallow foundation, temporary and permanent retaining system, soil improvement, instrumentation, etc)
- Prepare tender documents, technical specification.
- Managing subcontracts (i.e: on-site survey works, soil investigation contract, etc)
- Managing main contracts with the client
- Ensure submissions and proper record filing.
- Supervise both design and/or site work.
- Lead regular meetings / workshop.
- Prepare technical reports / structural design calculation reports and submission to Authorities.
- Ensure all engineering works comply with all relevant statutory standards, regulations and Codes of Practice and maintain high quality standards of design, supervision as well as guiding junior engineers.
- Liaison and manage stakeholders, such as clients, design team, site team and other relevant parties.
- Support on pursuing project: assist in tender submission.
Requirements:
- Minimum a Bachelor/master’s degree in civil/Structural Engineering recognized by PEB.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant design/project management experience in a consultancy firm involving infrastructure and/or marine infrastructure/coastal infrastructure projects.
- Experience of working on marine infrastructure projects in SEA countries.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Team player and able to multi-task
- Disciplined, self-motivated and resourceful.
- Experience in contract administration.
- Familiar with Eurocodes.
- Well versed in design software, e.g. STAAD Pro, Plaxis, GeoStudio, Prokon, Etabs etc are preferred.
- Familiar with the structural design of marine infrastructure such as jetties, quay walls, breakwater, revetment
