Team and Role Description:
The Ads Measurement Org is dedicated to enhancing the efficiency and user-friendliness of our advertising platform. We specialize in off-platform conversion signals ingestion, identity resolution, ads attribution, as well as powering Ads reporting and providing machine learning models with high quality data for training.
We are looking for an innovative engineering thought leader familiar with Ads Measurement & related Ads systems end to end. In this role, you will develop cutting edge solutions that will help us face measurement related challenges, and lead the downstream adoption of Measurement data across different engineering and cross functional organizations, and be willing to be hands-on and solve problems where the team may lack expertise.
You will be responsible for improving our Ads performance by leading the full end to end scope of Measurement solutions from ingestion to ads delivery. As a diverse group of software engineers, product managers, data scientists, and ads experts, we are excited for you to join our team!
Role Scope & Responsibilities:
- Stay updated on state-of-the-art products and techniques, recognizing promising innovations, identifying gaps, and adapting them to Reddit's unique platform and community.
- Understanding the current and future state of the business and converting business problems into engineering solutions.
- Proven technical leadership experience, with capability to create and drive our Ads Measurement strategy at the org level, and to solve challenges for at least the next 2+ years
- Act as a thought partner and innovation lead, capable of designing, implementing, testing, and launching complex product and infrastructure changes across the entire Ads stack.
- Lead large cross-functional projects end to end, from concept, design, implementation, to rollout, ensuring the highest quality and performance.
- Identify top opportunities for Ads Measurement to improve Ads performance by diving deep into our platform and understanding the company priorities, the needs of our advertisers, as well as downstream consumers of Ads Measurement data.
- Design and develop cutting-edge products and solutions for Ads Measurement that improves data quality and integrates with downstream consumers of measurement data (including modeling teams), from ideation to production deployment.
- Collaborate with engineering and cross functional leaders, data scientists, backend software engineers, fullstack engineers, as well as machine learning engineers.
- Mentor staff engineers and leaders, share industry knowledge, and contribute to the technical growth of the team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
- At least 8 of progressive and relevant experience within Software Engineering, with a focus on Ads. Experience with ML Modeling is highly desirable
- Experience with ML Modeling
- In-depth experience with Ads measurement products and technologies such as brand lift, conversion lift, experimentation methodology, measurement foundations, third-party integrations and privacy-aware systems.
- Experience developing creative solutions and coordinating large-scale, cross-functional efforts that span different teams, and driving alignment
- Advocates for Ads performance by leading Ads Measurement and working with Cross Functional partners in product, engineering, privacy, legal, etc.
- Familiarity with Ads privacy challenges (GDPR, CCPA, ePD, ATT, etc.) and is experienced delivering high Ads performance in line with privacy needs when developing solutions.
- Possess a strong understanding of industry trends and has a proven track record of driving high ad performance adapting to signal loss due to evolving privacy constraints.
